Springless Buffer

Springless buffer is a safety spare part used in elevator systems to ensure controlled stopping of the cabin or counterweight at the lower limit, absorbing impact energy. It reduces system damage and potential risks by damping mechanical shocks.

Springless buffers are impact-absorbing safety components used in elevator systems at the lower stopping points of the cabin or counterweight. They dampen sudden impact forces that may occur when the elevator reaches the lower limit during normal operation or emergency situations, protecting both mechanical components and the structure.

Thanks to their rubber or elastomer-based body structure, springless buffers absorb impact energy in a controlled manner. Compared to spring-loaded systems, their simpler and maintenance-free design provides a reliable solution especially for low and medium speed elevator systems. This feature ensures long-term performance without significant loss of efficiency.

The multi-layered and cylindrical form of springless buffers helps distribute the load evenly during impact. This design reduces localized stress that may occur on the cabin and counterweight during sudden stops and maintains system stability.

The durable material structure maintains its form even under continuous pressure and impact, minimizing the risk of cracking or fragmentation. These buffers can be firmly fixed to the floor with a mounting plate, making them easy to use in maintenance and modernization projects.

Buffers play a vital role in elevator safety systems. The use of springless buffers clearly defines the system’s safe stopping limits and helps prevent possible mechanical damage. Despite their simple structure, they are considered an essential spare part for elevator safety.
